Ongoing- So far this summer I have done outreach for the San Diego Chapter of the Mars Society 7 times.

I take a ¼ scale model of a working Rover (Spirit and Opportunity) and do a 1-2 hour lesson on Mars

2007 Project Astro: National partnership of Astronomers paired with teachers (I am an astronomer).

2007 US Satellite short course – STS 118

2007 Northrop Grumman selected teachers from 8 US cities to fly with Zero G Corporation.

         July 28, 2007 - training workshop). Of the ~75 teachers, 6 selected by the Space Science Institute

         for a PBS documentary on the role being played by educating teachers in project based learning.

         A film crew will follow my progress in the classroom for a year. The flight takes place on 10/8/07.

         Each team does 3 experiments in the weighless environment.

2007 EarthKam Mission 07-07 - training for implementation during the 2007-2008 year

2007 Honeywell selected teachers from 21 other countries to attend the Educator Academy at the

         US Space and Rocket Center. I was on team "Inspiration" in June 2007.

2007 Expanding Your Horizons: Reach for the Stars and Mars (Rover Activity-middle school)

2007 California Department of Education: Panel member – Mathematics Adoption cycle.

2007 California Department of Education: Panel member – Independent reviewer for the 2007 California

         Standards Test item analysis of each question on the state tests. I reviewed Science grades 5, 8,

         high school biology and middle school math. I wrote performance level descriptors.

*2003 Outreach for Space Frontier Foundation: James George allowed me to appoint myself the

         SFF K12 Outreach Coordinator for the Alt.Space – Space Frontier Conference XII.

         I took a group of 4 high school students, 3 of whom are now Aero Space Majors at Cal Poly (2 at

         San Luis Obispo and 1 at Pamona). They were honored, the first SFF high school students to attend
